Team Profiles: Ritah Namwiza

Ritah Namwiza is the founder and team leader of Collage. She founded Collage to promote and nurture local producers by linking them to the resources, the skills and the platforms they need to innovate, compete and thrive in an increasingly globalized marketplace. Ritah’s primary passion is harnessing the potential of youth to create a sustainable world. She is particularly curious about how youth can use technology to create sustainable livelihoods.

She is a youth advocate, social entrepreneur,  international development professional and a 2019 Skoll Forum Emerging Leader.

Ritah has more than seven years in development programming with a focus on youth skills building. She has worked on a range of initiatives to facilitate meaningful engagement of youth in development processes with campaigns such as Restless Development- BIG IDEA, the UNAIDS Special Youth Programme, and the  ILO’s Global Campaign to End Child Labour.

She has also consulted extensively on strategy and programme design in agriculture, education, health and private sector engagement and currently serves as co-lead for communications and partnerships for the MasterCard Alumni Committee in Uganda.

Ritah holds an MSc in Africa and International Development from the University of Edinburgh and a Bachelors Degree in Community Psychology from Makerere University.
